Rain period

The rain period has been going on for a while. And I got to say, when it rains here, it really rains! Our beautiful skyline view totally disappears, and that picture is from when it is not raining so much. In worse cases the rain is so dense that you only have a view of a meter ahead.

On the bright side, the rain causes real bad flooding, and in the area we live in the flooding can be so bad so all traffic stops. The rain itself has a positive impact on the air quality and in combination with cars and scooters standing still all over Jakarta, the next day you might be able to see the sun.

Remember the post about the Ugly Jungle outside our apartment, that was chopped down? It’s a lake now. Probably that water was used by the jungle, but now the water has nowhere to go.
