Ugly jungle

When we moved to The Mansion, we noticed the ugly untouched jungle that was disturbing our view of the Jakarta skyline. It was all green and fruity and filled with live animals and birds. Everybody knows if you are in a city, you don’t want to se any vegetation at all, you want to see concrete in different shades of grey. You want to see traffic jams that are never ending. That is big city life. The forest was so ugly, they even had put high walls around it with barbed wire.

Then a while later, we noticed that this ugly untouched jungle started to disappear, and within three days it was all gone. It took only one bulldozer and two guys to take care of it. I was so impressed of the skill of taking down forest so quickly. The barbed wire was probably put there, so no tree huggers would disturb their important work.

 

Now I am hopping that this is becoming a construction site, and hopefully they will build another well needed skyscraper just next to ours.
